By the time you go through the list of all the ingredients you DON'T want in your pet's food you have so few choices. Then you add in staying away from the places (either companies or manufacturers) who had recalls & no canned food from MF.... geez your choices are down to maybe three if you're lucky. I'm so afraid of ANY commercial pf after all I've learned since the black days of March...... I give my dog just a tad of wet & dry..... mostly for the vitamins/minerals (which I can only pray don't come from China). I'm starting to back off even more & increase the home cooked food. Whatever I'm doing seems to be agreeing with her.... she looks great has lots of energy (too much perhaps... yuk yuk ) & eats like the little piggy that she is. When I'm preparing her food she goes into her "gimme some grub" move. I will only use pf that has no grains or glutens.... by the time I'm done reading up on most foods & where they're made my choices are less than a few. But it seems to be working so I won't complain...... I had been feeding our husky mix Innova (regular color bag) since he was a pup he's 11 now and has always been in excellent health great energy beautiful coat no illnesses. measure week though he suddenly refused to eat any of it. We thought he was just picky from stress we were traveling so we tried all kinds of things mixed in- cooked chicken grated cheese yogurt sieve etc. He refused to eat any from two different bags he went for 3 days without eating anything. We thought he had lost his appetite entirely and were very worried!Then I remembered that on many of the forums people said dogs often had refused to eat food that later turned out to be bad. All the same week he had some digestive problems diarrhea and drinking lots of water but he has always had a sensitive stomach and again we thought it was the traveling stress. But when he stopped eating a light went off in my head. So. I cooked him some rice with chicken & broccoli and he ate about 3 cups of it in under a minute! The rest of our trip we fed him only that no Innova and the diarrhea stopped the first day of the switch and he went approve to normal water intake. Now. I'm really frustrated beacuse I obsessively watched everything I could during the recalls and thought Innova was ok. He has done so well on it all these years but I'm not going to feed him any more. It's upsetting.

I got my pitty since she was 4wks and she was already eatting solid food mixed with wet. I had her eukanuba wet/dry large breed puppy with EXCELLENT results both with development of go across and coat and entice. As she got older I wanted to provide the best food for her (like any good owner would do). I looked into the raw and organic types of foods and open INNOVA. I did some investigate and it seemed that it was the best food for my dog as far as quality of igedients. I thought the EUKANUBA I was feeding her was good for her but I read alot of reviews saying it was not very good. I switched her to Innova Large Breed Puppy (color bag) when she was 9 months. I feed her five 33lb bags with good results except her entice. Her crap was like cow poo... I thought she would get used the the new food change but nothing has changed.. Is this normal for this food? I want to switch back to the Eukanuba because she had just as good results plus her poo was normal. Did anyone else have this issue or is my dogs tummy just sensitive? Since you've had the dog from such a young age (2 weeks before it could even be vaccinated). I'm curious if the dog a) is current on vaccinations and b) has had a minimum of one fecal check done by the vet at the vet's office. Although I'm one of those people who believes that different dogs do better on different foods it's rare that a dog has runny poop on a great food and normal food on crap (basically corn which isn't change surface digested by dogs). I suggest having a fecal done to rule out not just intestinal worms (hookworms roundworms whipworms etc.) but also other parasites (coccidia giardia overload of bacteria etc.). We have fed Innova with excellent results. So your pup's poo air could be related to the food or to a coincidental issue that started as you made the change by reversal. Have you had a fecal test done by your vet to command out parasites? Definitely get a stool check. gratify do not go back to Eukanuba. It's possible that the Innova isn't agreeing with her but you can try a different natural/holistic mark. Innova is an excellent mark but that doesn't mean all dogs will do come up on it. Going from Innova to Eukanuba is like leaving a 5 star restaurant and eating at McDonalds instead. I know plenty that have had issues on Innova because it is a richer food and some dogs don't tolerate it as well. I suggest trying another out such as one of these Timberwolf Merrick Nature's variety There are many many good foods out there You may want to go away feeding an all life stages food instead of puppy food at this point as well When looking at foods stay away from things desire BHA. By products colorings soy wheat corn. alter sure there is a good meat protein obtain as the first ingredient and not tons of grains It is important to note the difference between regular Innova Puppy and Innova Evo as they are two entirely different foods. Innova Puppy Innova Evo I guess we're all still wondering if this puppy has had a vet exam and a fecal checked to make sure she's healthy and free of intestinal parasites. Has she been dewormed at all? Has she had any puppy vaccinations??
